About Catherine Shea, Psy.D.

Dr. Catherine Shea is a licensed psychologist in the state of Florida with specialized training in pediatric and clinical psychology. She has dedicated her career to helping children, adolescents, and families better understand learning, emotional, and behavioral challenges through evidence-based assessment and therapy.

Dr. Shea received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Central Florida, followed by a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology at UCF. She went on to complete her Master of Science and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Baylor University through an APA-accredited program. Following graduate school, Dr. Shea completed her post-doctoral fellowship at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, where she provided psychological services to children and young adults experiencing complex medical conditions.

Over the course of her training and career, Dr. Shea has provided care in a variety of settings including hospitals, residential treatment facilities, school nurture centers, and community clinics. These experiences allow her to bring a broad and well-rounded perspective to her work with children and families.

In her private practice, Shea Psychological Services, Dr. Shea provides psychoeducational assessments, gifted testing, and therapy for children and adolescents. She is committed to collaborating with parents, teachers, and healthcare providers to ensure that every child receives the support they need to thrive both in school and at home.

Outside of her professional role, Dr. Shea enjoys spending time with her husband and young son, playing with her dog, listening to music, and reading.
